Answer multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank questions on mathematics, Python and machine-learning fundamentals.
The task
Part 1 of the National Qualifier. The Prepare page describes it as a series of math, algorithmic and coding problems on core AI concepts: 25 multiple-choice questions (2 marks each) and 10 fill-in-the-blank questions (5 marks each), 100 marks in total, 90 minutes. The official problem set is published as a 22-page PDF (2025_CAIO_National_Qualifier_Round1.pdf); for example, Question 2 asks for the output of a pandas .loc/.iloc expression.
