Checklist Cyprus AI Camp 2026 IOAI Selection Camp · Task 2
The Enigma of Wine Quality
Predict the expert quality score (3–8) of red Vinho Verde wines from 11 physicochemical measurements.
The task
Contestants receive physicochemical measurements of Portuguese 'Vinho Verde' red wines (fixed and volatile acidity, citric acid, residual sugar, chlorides, free and total SO₂, density, pH, sulphates, alcohol) and predict the quality rating given by experts.
The classes are strongly imbalanced (in training, quality 5 and 6 make up over 80% and quality 3 has 8 samples).
Abridged by SOTA from the official materials. The official statement has the exact rules, and it wins wherever this summary differs.
