Checklist ONIA 2026 Local Stage · Task 1
Museums in Romania
Romanian title: Muzeele din România
Answer eight exploratory-analysis questions about the open dataset of Romanian museums published on data.gov.ro.
The task
The National Heritage Institute publishes open data on Romanian cultural institutions on data.gov.ro, including a dataset of museums (name, county, locality, founding year, category, coordinates, description, URL). The contestant performs an exploratory analysis of this dataset, converted from JSON to CSV.
The tasks ask for the number of museums, the number in Bucharest, the number of columns with missing values, the founding year with most museums, the number of museums per county, the percentage of filled-in columns for each museum, the mean of that completeness score and the percentage of museums with the maximum completeness score.
Abridged and translated by SOTA from the official Romanian materials. The official statement has the exact rules, and it wins wherever this summary differs.
