Checklist ROAI 2026 Selection Camp – CPU Practical Round · Task 2

Too Easy Fairy

Produce a 16×16 foreground mask for each image from frozen DINOv2 patch features and a single foreground and a single background seed pixel.

  • Vision
  • One-shot semantic segmentation

The task

For each image the contestant receives only pre-extracted DINOv2 patch features of shape (16, 16, 384) and the coordinates of one foreground pixel and one background pixel, given in 224×224 image space. No masks are provided.

The task is to decide, for each of the 256 patches, whether it belongs to the foreground object, i.e. to grow the two seeds into a full binary silhouette.

Abridged by SOTA from the official materials. The official statement has the exact rules, and it wins wherever this summary differs.

At a glance

You get
A features/ folder of .npy files of shape (16, 16, 384) per image and seeds.csv with image_id, fg_x, fg_y, bg_x, bg_y.
You submit
CSV with subtaskID (1), datapointID (image id) and answer (comma-separated 0/1 predictions for the 256 patches).
Scoring
Dice score (exact implementation in starter_kit.py): below 0.40 gives 5 points, 0.40–0.78 is scaled linearly from 5 to 100, 0.78 or above gives 100.
