Checklist ROAI 2026 National Stage, Grades 9–10 · Task 2
A matter of perspective
Find the odd image in triplets of object photographs and estimate the horizontal viewing angle of single images.
The task
A photographer takes pictures of museum artworks from several horizontal angles. The training folder contains images and a CSV giving the viewing angle of each image.
Subtask 1 gives triplets in which two images show the same object from different perspectives and one shows a different object; the odd image (1, 2 or 3) must be identified. Subtask 2 asks for the viewing angle (0–359) of each given image.
Abridged by SOTA from the official materials. The official statement has the exact rules, and it wins wherever this summary differs.
